This post is a bit different to my usual content – but I feel it is an important one that I needed to share. Life is busy, and tough to get by for many but I have found so much pleasure from my online journey and anyone can give it a go. Step out of your comfort zone and start thinking how you can change your life and career – using the internet.
The present day and age is probably one of the most difficult times in history if you are looking to launch your career or even find a job in the first place. But, if there is one thing people have going for them nowadays, it’s the benefits only modern technology can provide them with.
With a little creativity you can use it to your advantage both in the financial and professional sense. Can’t find a job? Simply create one for yourself. It is easier than you think.
Take any skill you have, couple it with an internet connection, and that’s it. More than enough to start you off. The rest is up to you and your dedication.
I’m speaking from my own experience. Working from home is not something I envisioned I would be doing one day, but I went with it and now I wouldn’t change it for the world. Why would I? Sure, I might try and get a “normal” job, but then what?
Working in a cubicle is not something I envisioned either, so I’ll stick with what I have. And it’s not settling, either. I am my own boss, plain and simple. I work when I want and how much I want. I can also set up my workspace to fuel my creativity and motivation.
Designing a Medical Career Salary Site
Since my work involves a lot coding, designing and bit of writing, I was recently asked by a friend, who is a registered nurse, to help her with an idea. She came across this site on the web http://nursesalaryguide.net/ and decided to start up a similar website.
Although her ideas for this new one would be more experience and story-oriented, as opposed to just listing numbers and data for various nursing career salaries. It would also feature advice on how to further your education and training if you are a nurse and how to participate in various seminars and workshops.
I designed the website myself and wrote the initial batch of content. The rest would be up to her. I didn’t charge her anything since we were friends for a long time, but it’s just an example of how you can use your skills to get you a job and create an income using today’s technologies.
Of course it works best if you are a programmer or a web designer but you can sell work or provide a service online regardless of the profession. If you are a writer, you can apply your skills just about anywhere.
Photographers can also use the internet to sell their work, whether it’s through stock photography websites, or selling fine art prints on their own website. Translators, architects, designers, artists, they all have a good chance of making a living online, with just a little effort on their part.
For some, it may be just a thing to tie them over until they find they find another regular job or simply a means of boosting their income. Some might commit to it full-time.
Whatever the case, it is nice to know that you have such an option and more importantly, it’s one that is entirely viable. Need work or just some extra income – what skills do you have that can be applied to create an online career?
